The electric neoprene diaphragm pumps are suitable for routine use in a microbiological laboratory. Controlled vacuum ensures that stressed microorganisms (e.g., bacteria) are gently concentrated on the membrane filter surface. This leads to lower mortality, which in turn leads to higher recovery rates and shorter incubation times.
