The syringe filters are used for filtration of suspended matter from liquid samples and are certified for HPLC. Standard CHROMAFIL syringe filters are color coded. CHROMAFIL Xtra syringe filters are labeled for method validation and certification. All CHROMAFIL syringe filters are autoclavable (121 °C and 1.1 bar for 30 min).A hydrophobic membrane. Ideal for filtration of non-polar liquids and gases. It is very resistant to various solvents as well as acids and bases. By flushing with alcohol, followed by water, the original hydrophobic membrane can be made more hydrophilic.
Applications: Prefiltration and clarification of highly viscous solutions and the removal of large particles from suspensions. Use as a prefilter, with glass fiber membrane 25 mm housing diameter.

The only difference between the Sartorius Minisart® NML Plus (Glass-fibre / Cellulose acetate) and the standard Minisart® NML is an additional glass fibre pre-filter which enables a greater filtration volume for highly particle-laden liquids.
